Kalani Retreat Center
Pahoa, Hawaii
I have stayed at this retreat center in Hawaii. It’s beautiful, peaceful and the food is wonderful. There’s a lot to do on the Big Island if you are inclined to visit all the interesting places such as the Valley of the Volcanos. It’s also a great place to write, relax and get a massage. I highly recommend Kalani Retreat Center.
Kalani is an educational retreat center in Hawai‘i Island’s colorful Puna District and a premier destination for over 40 years. Kalani hosts individual retreats, group workshops, sabbatical, and community life experiences in on-site accommodations that range from off-grid campsites to eco-cottages constructed from sustainably harvested wood and bamboo.
Explore Our Campus
One of Kalani’s guiding principles is to preserve and enhance our pristine, 120-acre campus and surrounding Puna District through sustainable education programs and hands-on community participation. To that end, Kalani has become a living model for discovering and implementing best practices in permaculture, sustainability, and community development in a breathtaking tropical oasis.
